Meet The Team

Founder

Ashvin Modi

The firm is headed by Architect Ashvin Modi. He is a graduate from School of Architecture, CEPT University, Ahmedabad. He undertook his initial student training in Architecture with Architect P.S. - Rajan-Panna Rajan, Baroda.

He embarked on his private practice in 1983 and established his firm, Ashvin Modi Architect at Bharuch.

The firm has always attempted a contextual, dynamic & innovative approach for all of their projects and has a wide array of interesting projects to its credit ranging from institutional centers, commercial complexes, sports complexes, schools, hospitals, corporate sector offices as well as private residences.

Architect

Tejal Rajput

is an Associate Architect with the firm and heads the Interior Design in the firm.

Having completed her Bachelors of Architecture from MS University, Vadodara in 1995, she joined the Design practice of ASHVIN MODI ARCHITECTS.

During her practice of more than 22 years, she has worked on huge array of projects of varied nature such as residential, commercial, corporate and institutional. However, corporate interiors have been her forte and major area of interest.

Besides practice, Ar. Tejal Rajput is passionate about teaching. She had been involved in academics as a visiting faculty, thesis guide and jury member in various design institutions of the region.

Ar. Tejal Rajput is an Immediate Past Chairperson of IIID Bharuch Regional Center. She has significantly contributed to the institution during her tenure though conduction of various activities at city and center level.

Architect

Smit Modi

Smit Modi is a Graduate of CEPT University and the recipient of Renzo Piano Foundation Scholarship (Year 2013) that bagged him an opportunity to intern at Renzo Piano Building workshop in Genoa, Italy. He is also one of the finalist of Ethos Transparence 11.0, Nationals. An experience of a Workshop on the historic neighbourhoods of Nepal inspired him to dig deeper into the subject, eventually sublimating into his research thesis ‘Arresting Commercialization of Historic Residential Neighbourhoods’. As an attempt to bridge the gap between theory and design, Smit thinks understanding the structure of built environment is an indispensable part- an ongoing quest which has resulted into a series of workshops called ‘Order in Built Environment'.

At Ashvin Modi Architect, Bharuch he has been involved on a number of projects of varying scales and types, that includes residences, corporate convention center and canteen, R&D Lab, school, township. He is a visiting faculty at Vadodara Design Academy and has been involved with studios and workshops there.
